The Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP) is a research center at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where it is based. It emerged from the Political Analysis Team research group, recognized as such in 1990. It was accredited as a special research center in 2002, and four years later obtained official recognition as a UAB research institute.
The IGOP was founded with the aim of promoting research, training, and social transfer in the field of government and public policy, doing so from an interdisciplinary perspective and, above all, with the ability to combine academic excellence with impact on social reality.
